Biography of Captain Edward Francis Alade Early Life and Education Captain Edward Francis Alade was born on 23rd December, 1983, in the coastal area in Tegbi , Keta District, Volta Region Ghana. In his early life at age 6 years Francis moved to Nigeria Growing up in a maritime-rich environment, in the coastal city area in Lagos Edward was captivated by the sea and the adventures it promised from a young age. Inspired by the stories of sailors and maritime explorers, he developed an early ambition to pursue a career at sea. He attended Dunamis universal college where he excelled in subjects related to science and mathematics. Edward’s passion for the maritime industry propelled him to seek formal education in the field of marine studies. After completing his secondary education, he attended federal college of fisheries and marine technology,lagos and later studied in the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, where he has his competence oow (officer of the watch) and his competence Coc ( certificate of competence, chief mate) in Navigation.
Maritime Career
Upon graduating from the Maritime Academy, Edward Alade embarked on his maritime career, quickly gaining a reputation for his exemplary skills and dedication. His early experience included serving as a deck officer on various merchant vessels, where he honed his navigational abilities and learned the intricacies of ship operations. His perseverance and commitment to safety and leadership caught the attention of senior officers and maritime companies.
Over the years, Captain Francis worked on a multitude of vessels, including oil tankers, platform support vessels (psv)His travels took him to ports around the world, where he cultivated a deep understanding of diverse maritime cultures and practices. Each voyage served as an opportunity for him to grow both personally and professionally.
After years of hard work and continued education, including advanced courses in maritime leadership and safety management, Edward earned the prestigious title of Captain. Personal Life
Captain Edward Francis Alade resides in Lagos with his family. He is married to Ifemi Blessing and is a proud father to three children. Favour, Annabel and Christabel. In his spare time, he enjoys listen to music, reading.
